This 1 day course is designed for diagnostic and therapeutic Radiographers undertaking intravenous (IV) administration in an Imaging department. This course will facilitate Radiographers to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to safely undertake intravenous cannulation and the administration of intravenous contrast.

Log Book and Supervisor
It is essential that attendees are assigned a named supervisor who will be responsible for their clinical training. An ‘Intravenous Cannulation Log’ will be provided to all attendees who successfully complete this course. It is the responsibility of the individual participant to complete activity in accordance with Departmental Protocols and to ensure that each procedure is recorded in their personal ‘Intravenous Cannulation Log’.
